Respected King’s Counsel and current Legal Aid Queensland Public Defender Katarina Prskalo KC has been appointed a judge of the District Court of Queensland.

Applications have opened for the permanent Queensland Victims’ Commissioner role, which will promote and protect the needs and rights of victims of crime.

Queuing, ballot paper shortages and other related election day issues will be examined in an expanded in-depth external review commissioned by the Electoral Commission Queensland (ECQ).

Six hundred Queensland community groups will share in almost $15 million, thanks to the state’s largest one-off grants program.
